Scripture Study: A Powerful Tool for Change
Tanja Crouch
A retired music executive, Tanja Crouch loves studying the scriptures. She taught seminary for 12 years, institute for 3 years, and gospel doctrine for 2. “Daily study of the scriptures has and continues to change and improve my life in significant, even miraculous, ways.” She is currently a graduate student at UTK, loves traveling, reading, family history research, and spending time with family and friends. She has been married to her best friend, Kevin, for 47 years.
Navigating Change in the Savior’s Way
Austin Houghtaling, Ph.D, LMFT
Austin is the first counselor in the Franklin stake presidency. He has a private practice specializing in couples therapy and treating trauma. Austin grew up in Astoria, Oregon, has been married for 23 years, and has three children.

Taunya Rivers
Taunya loves gardening, landscaping, cooking, entertaining, canning, rubber stamping, designing greeting cards, crocheting, camping, boating and politics. Before retiring, she worked as a mortgage broker. She married her husband in just 8 weeks and they have been happily married for 18 years. She has two grown and married children, Tyler and Sydney, and eagerly awaits having grandbabies.
Women’s Fitness: Strong in Mind, Body and Spirit
Claire Sherwood
Claire Sherwood has been a member of the Franklin 3rd Ward for six years. She is a wife and mom to two teenage girls. Originally from Washington and Utah, Claire loves traveling the world and making memories with her family. Claire developed a passion for exercise and fitness during her adult life and decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry over six years ago. She is a certified personal trainer and women’s fitness specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She believes that movement is medicine and that strength and health are wealth.
We Can Do It! Riveting Home Hacks That Won’t Bust Your Budget
Rachel Brinkerhoff and Kari Stolworthy
Rachel Brinkerhoff is a lifelong Franklin resident, BYU graduate, photographer, wife, and mom to five kids. Growing up working alongside her parents on home projects sparked her love of DIY and learning new skills. Rachel enjoys finding creative ways to make her home beautiful and functional without breaking the budget. She believes that with a little elbow grease, creativity, and a positive attitude, almost anything can be tackled!
Kari Stolworthy and her husband, Mark, have called Franklin home since 1999. They raised four children and now enjoy 10 grandchildren. A BYU design graduate, Kari has always loved decorating, sewing, DIY projects, and finding beautiful things at a great price. She and Mark designed and built their dream home on six acres, and Kari continues to enjoy creating beautiful spaces and sharing her love of home projects with others.
Gathering Families Around the Scriptures: Practical Ideas for Meaningful Gospel Learning at Home
Janalen Fischer
Janalen Fischer grew up in Filer, Idaho, where she and her husband, Rocky, were childhood friends long before they became sweethearts. After Rocky’s two-year mission, they married just four months after he returned, and 30 years later they are raising ten children in Franklin, several of whom joined their family through adoption. Janalen is also a grandmother to two granddaughters. She holds a master’s degree in piano performance, and music has filled their home as all of her children have grown up playing the piano. Janalen currently serves as Sunday School President and loves helping families find meaningful ways to bring the gospel into their homes. Her family story has taught her that when we provide love and a home, the Lord provides what we need.

We Are Safe, Inc.
We Are Safe, Inc. is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safety, shelter, and support to victims of domestic violence and their children in rural Tennessee. Their services include a confidential 24-hour crisis line, safe shelter, transportation, court advocacy, support groups, and connections to community resources.
Our Stake Relief Society is excited to support We Are Safe, Inc. by providing much-needed items from their current wish list and helping meet the practical needs of families as they seek safety, healing, and a fresh start.
